Biography

Sophomore (2015): Appeared in three games for the Hornets in 2015… Normally called upon to serve as a pinch runner in the late innings of games.

Freshman (2014): Appeared in two games for the Hornets in 2014…was a defensive replacement in left field on March 10…collected his first at bat April 18 against Southern Virginia where he singled on a slow dribbler to second base.

Before LC: Started three years for Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania…batted .315 as a senior for the Churchmen…has five career outfield assists…played one year of soccer in high school.

Personal: Son of Andy and Theresa Hartzell…has two sisters…uncle, David, played four years of soccer at Dartmouth College...Spanish minor.
