Biography

Senior (2016): The starting centerfielder who appeared in 33 games total...scattered 30 hits while scoring 15 runs...lead the team with four triples, showing the speed needed to be an outfielder on Fox Field...had a .970 fielding percentage with three assists...best game came against Averett on 3/23 when he totaled three hits, one being a triple, while driving in one and scoring two more.  

Junior (2015): Taylor assumed a starting role early in the season, finishing the year with 30 starts in what was his most productive season offensively… .328 batting average was fourth highest on the team… Second on the Hornets with 33 runs scored out of the leadoff position… Led the team with six stolen bases… Tied for the team lead with two triples… Posted three hits in a game on five separate occasions… Made several outstanding diving plays in center field contributing one outfield assist while posting a .965 fielding percentage.

Sophomore (2014): Taylor started 30 games for the Hornets in 2014 before missing time late in the year due to injury…returned from injury for the ODAC tournament and picked up hits in the first two games…went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI to lead the charge for the Hornets against Bridgewater (Va.) in the winner’s bracket on April 25…an athletic centerfielder with good range, he only made one error in 60 tries in the outfield…scored a career-high three runs against Oneonta State on February 22.

Freshman (2013): Taylor showed a strong ability to make reads in the outfield, entering nine games as a defensive replacement and another as a pinch runner, while starting six games in center field…picked up his first career hit on a triple against Eastern Mennonite University on March 30…finished the doubleheader 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored…was error-free with an outfield assist in 18 chances on the season.

Before LC: Two-year starter for Coach Jim Freeman at Downington East High School…named All-Chesmont League his senior season…team won Chesmont League Championship senior year…member of National Honor Society.
