Senior (2015): Knight played in nine games, starting four, as a senior for the Hornets, mostly seeing time at first base… Collected his first career extra-base hit, a double, on March 15 at Emory & Henry College… Went 1-for-2 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI on Senior Day against Washington and Lee University on April 19.
Junior (2014): Knight started the 2014 campaign in a platoon at first base before seeing time sporadically throughout the season…played in nine games over the course of the year…drove in two RBI for the Hornets in the season opener February 7…went 2-for-2 with an RBI against a ranked Christopher Newport University team on February 15.
Sophomore (2013): Knight played in five games with one start as a sophomore…perfect fielding percentage in his nine chances…scored a run against Immaculata University on February 25.
Freshman (2012): Played in five games his freshman season…had two hits in four at-bats…scored one run and one RBI.
Before LC: Attended Heritage High School in Lynchburg…three-year starter and won three letters for the Pioneers…five-time member of the VHSL and Seminole District All-District All-Academic Team…two-year Seminole All-District team…individual sportsmanship award winner in 2011 Virginia American Legion State Tournament…hit .342 in his senior season.
Personal: Son of Dennis and Annette Knight…father played baseball at James Madison University and was drafted by the Texas Rangers and played for the Tri-City Triplets.
