Sophomore (2015): Appeared in one game for the Hornets as a sophomore… Threw one inning of relief against Bridgewater College on April 1… Retired all three left-handed batters he faced.

Freshman (2014): The lefty appeared in five games, including one start in his first taste of collegiate baseball…had a career day against Southern Virginia University on April 18 when he went seven scoreless, four-hit frames while striking out two.

Before LC: Started all four years for William Campbell High School…named First Team All-Dogwood District and Second Team All-Region as a first baseman in 2013…led William Campbell to a state runner-up finish…played one year of basketball for the Generals.

Personal: Son of Wayne and Trisha Elder…has one sister.
