Senior (2015): Parsons appeared in 34 games as a senior, starting in 31… Got hot towards the end of the season, ending the year on a seven game hitting streak in which he batted .464 (13-for-28) at the plate… Hit two homers on the year, one in the first inning against Washington and Lee University on Senior Day April 19… Stole two bases at Hampden-Sydney College on April 8.
Junior (2014): Parsons had his best season to date after taking over the starting job at third base…started the year strong with a 5-for-5 day at Averett with three RBI, two doubles and five runs scored, the most scored by a Hornet in 2014…scored 38 runs, one shy of the team lead…led Hornets with 11 hit by pitch…his .417 batting average paced the team in the ODAC tournament…had three or more hits in a game four times while collecting at least two base knocks 13 times…ended the season on a six game hitting streak.
Sophomore (2013): Parsons saw his playing time increase dramatically his sophomore season, making his first career start at St. Andrews University on February 6…drove in his first run as part of a five-RBI effort against Immaculata University on February 25, while also picking up his first extra-base hit on a triple as part of a 3-for-4 showing that saw him score four runs.
Freshman (2012): Played in five games his freshman season with three at-bats…scored one run.
Before LC: Four-year starter at Brookville High School…All-District selection in all four years played…hit .408 his senior year with four home runs and 23 RBI…team was the region champions…also played basketball.
Personal: Son of Sam and Ginger Parsons…nephew of Hank Shellenberger and grandson of Bill Shellenberger...Environmental science minor.
