Adeline Callihan

Adeline Callihan joined the Lynchburg equestrian staff as a graduate assistant in July 2021 and immediately helped the Hornets to back-to-back NCEA single-discipline championships in 2022 and 2023 and a qualification for the 2022 IHSA national show.

Callihan began her coaching career after a highly successful riding career for Goucher College in Baltimore, Md. She was a three-year team captain for the Gophers and rode in the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association's Tournament of Champions and Zone finals in Novice through Intermediate categories both on the flat and over fences. As a junior in 2020, she went undefeated on the flat. During that run, her success at the IHSA's Tournament of Champions earned Callihan the Goucher athletic department's "Junior Performance of the Year" award.

A native of Keene, N.H., Callihan graduated from Goucher in 2021 with a degree in economics. She earned the Max Hochschild Prize for Excellence in Economics and was a member of multiple honor societies. She is enrolled in the master's of business administration program with an emphasis in sport management at Lynchburg.
