Gordon Merck

Gordon Merck is in his first year coaching forLynchburg College. While at LC he competed for four years on thetrack and field team as a thrower. Merck recently graduated from LClast year with his bachelor’s degree in elementary education.He is currently enrolled in graduate school at LC getting his M.Ed.in Reading Instruction.

During his time at LC, Merck was part of a Hornet track andfield team that won eight straight indoor and outdoor ODAC titles.In his junior season he placed third in the weight throw indoors,and was runner up in the hammer throw outdoors in the ODAC. In hissenior season he was runner up in the weight throw indoors.

He will be working mainly with the throwers at LC.
