Seamus McDonald transitioned into a graduate assistant role with the Lynchburg men's lacrosse team in the summer of 2019 after completing his career as one of the most decorated long-stick midfielders in program history.

McDonald was a two-time USILA honorable mention All-American at the long pole and earned three IMLCA All-South Region, VaSID All-State, and All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference honors. In 2019, he represented Lynchburg in the USILA Division III Senior All-Star Game.

He graduated from Lynchburg with a degree in history and is pursuing a master's in educational leadership.
