2012: The defensive stalwart since his arrival at Lynchburg, finished a stellar career in 2012…started every game for LC, picking up 48 groundballs and forcing 29 turnovers throughout the year…added two assists in the year…will be sorely missed by the Hornets, not only for his play on the field, but for his leadership on and off the turf.
2011: Junior captain had one of his best seasons for the Hornets…Started all 19 games as a defenseman for the Hornets…Tallied one assist, 39 groundballs, and 18 caused turnovers, good for second on the team…Named Second-Team All-ODAC and second-team All-State.
2010: Saw action in 16 games, starting in 10…corralled 19 groundballs…second on the team with 13 caused turnovers.
2009: Started 11 times as a rookie (13 games) . . . ended the season ranked third on the team with 32 ground balls . . . added seven caused turnovers.
Before LC: Won four varsity letters and started for four years. . . team captain and Coach's Award senior year. . . Founders League Champions and New England Champions in 2008. . . also played hockey for four years and was captain.
Personal: The son of John and Angela Lombardo.
