2015: Played in all 24 games in his final year as a Hornet . . . had five assists to go along with one goal . . . had 20 ground balls and seven caused turnovers . . . forced a pair of turnovers in LC’s two season-opening wins against Salisbury and Cabrini.
2014: Defensive midfielder played an important part for the Hornets…appeared in 20 games as a short-stick specialist…tallied four assists on the year, including two in the win over Colorado College…was a stalwart defensively, causing six turnovers and picking up 36 ground balls…uses strength and athleticism to help on the defensive side of the field.
2013: D-middie continued to be an important part to the Hornets defense in his second year…he appeared in 14 games…picked up five groundballs and caused four turnovers…very athletic and hard-working…will be an important option for the coaching staff next year as a short-stick defenseman.
2012: Became the top short-stick defensive option in his first-year with the Hornets…played in all 19 games and tallied three assists…collected 24 groundballs and forced three turnovers…hard worker is expected to improve in his second year.
Before LC: Four year member and two year starter for Thayer Academy in Braintree, MA…scored 10 goals and registered 20 assists for the Tigers…named All-Independent School League honorable mention.
Personal: Son of Mary and Robert Ernst Jr…has three brothers and two sisters…brother, Mike, played lacrosse at Denison College…played hockey for three years and football for two years in high school...has a minor in history.
