Senior (2016): A leader at the top of the formation, Grossfuss started 17 games and saw action in 23 total games...the senior led the Hornets in goals with 11 and assisted on eight other goals...Scored both goals in the OCt. 4 contest against Eastern Mennonite, including the game-winner in overtime...Assisted on the game-winning goal in the ODAC Semifinals and provided the game-tying goal, which sparked the comeback, in a thrilling comeback win over Washington & Lee in the ODAC Championship

Junior (2015): The speedster lift to the offense during his third-year off at the forward position… was able to draw numerous fouls from the opposition… scored two goals and assisted two others… will be relied upon heavily come next season.

Sophomore (2014): Played a key role in the offense during his second season…appeared in every game during the year, while being called for the beginning on 11 occasions…scored five goals on the year, which included two game-winners…had the game-winner over Rutgers-Camden and then scored the only goal of the game in the win over Virginia Wesleyan during the regular season…was named Hornet of the Week after a win over Guilford.

Freshman (2013): Played in 13 games and started in two on the season… played a key role for the Hornets adding speed and agility to the second line… scored one goal on the season and added two assists, including one in the 4-0 victory over Emory & Henry College on October 26.

Before LC: A four-year starter at Lee County High School, Ben earned 2 time Tri-Nine All-Conference and NC All-state honors, and Was named Tri-Nine Conference player of the year. He also was a member of the NC All-star team. In his career he scored 53 goals and 26 assists, 23 goals and eight assists in his senior year.
