Scott Zaring rejoined the Lynchburg men's soccer staff prior to the 2017 season, coming home to Lynchburg from Widener University in Chester, Pa., where he was assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Pride. He will take over as head coach of that program this coming spring. He also served as an assistant for coach Chris Yeager's 2015 Lynchburg men's squad.

He has also coached junior teams for FC Richmond and Central Virginia United. He is also a USSF E and D licensed coach.
