Emily Hundley (Zimcosky) joined the Lynchburg Swimming Program as the Men's and Women's Full-time Assistant Coach in June of 2023.
The Smock, Pa. native graduated from Liberty University in 2020 with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Studio Arts. While serving as a Volunteer Assistant Swimming Coach in 2022, she earned her Master’s Degree in Sports Management with Coaching & Athletic Administration cognates from Liberty University.
In her collegiate career, Hundley transferred to Liberty University for the 2018-19 season. In her first season with the Flames, she won the 200 freestyle at the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Championships, becoming the first Liberty swimmer in program history to win that event.
Following the end of her swimming career, Hundley moved into a coaching role with the Flames in November of 2022. In her first season as a volunteer coach, the Flames won their fifth-consecutive CCSA title and fourth with Hundley.
Prior to her four years at Liberty, Hundley swam at Ohio University where she held the School Record in the 200 Freestyle.
Leading up to her Division-I career, Hundley went to Geibel Catholic High School in Connellsville, Pa. In her senior year of high school, Hundley competed at the 2016 U.S. Olympic trials in the 50 Meter Freestyle.
Hundley has also spent the last 5 years teaching private swim lessons to children ages 6 mo.-12 years old. and serving as a lead swim camp counselor with Maximum Velocity Swimming in Lynchburg, Va.
In her free time away from the Natatorium, Hundley enjoys a variety of arts & crafts as well as spending time with her dog, Nora.
