2012 All-ODAC Third Team
Senior (2014): Speedy forward that started all 28 games for the Hornets… Managed to space the field and work down into the corners where she opened the box up for other forwards, demonstrated by her nine assists on the year… Had the third-most assists in a game in school history when she posted three against Eastern Mennonite University in the ODAC quarterfinals on November 1… Her lone goal of the year was a game winner over Franklin & Marshall College on September 7… Assisted on the game-winning goal to defeat Stevenson University in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
Junior (2013): Played in 21 matches as a junior, starting 18…Speedy midfielder who could run the sideline and spread the field…Had one goal and three assists on the year…Lone goal came against Sweet Briar College on October 22…Assisted on the game-winning goal against Washington and Lee University on October 26 to determine regular season ODAC champion.
Sophomore (2012): The Third Team All-ODAC selection played in all 25 matches for the Hornets while starting 21…Nelsen had three goals and four assists on the season…Her three point performance against Randolph-Macon on October 27 was a season high for the sophomore.
Freshman (2011): Logged several games on the pitch as a freshman…Scored her first collegiate goal against Sweet Briar College on Sept. 17…Tallied a goal in back-to-back games against Emory & Henry College and Southern Virginia University…Also added three assists on the year…Looks to be a key figure in the offense in coming seasons.
Before LC: Earned the Fighting Filly Award in her senior year for the Broncos...Barrington made it to the elite eight in the state her junior and senior years...All-academic team as a senior.
Personal: The daughter of Clifford II and Susan Nelsen...Has one brother and one sister...Uncle, Charles Dorger, played soccer for Depauw University...minoring in Spanish.
