Senior: Gonzalez was off to a great start, leading the Hornets in scoring before going down with a season-ending injury four games into the season…The senior from Springfield, VA had five goals and one assist before the injury on September 9…She had two goals on two separate occasions, against Maryville (TN) on August 31 and against Southern Virginia on September 4.
Junior: Named to the All-ODAC Third Team for her contributions on the field in 2011…A dynamic midfielder who proved a threat on offense while providing stout defense…Scored three goals on the season including the game-winner against Roanoke College…Registered the tying goal against Virginia Wesleyan College on Oct. 22 in which LC battled back to win and earn the number one spot in the ODAC Tournament.
Sophomore: Played in 22 games, starting in 21…strong complementary player on a Hornet team full of goal scorers, still managed to tally five goals of her own (including three game-winners) while helping on two others…Fifth in the ODAC with 60 shots.
Freshman: Had a stellar freshman campaign garnering ODAC All-Conference honorable mention team honors ... played in 22 games with 21 starts ... netted three goals and added 2 helpers to bring her total to 8 points on the season.
Before LC: Had an impressive career at West Springfield High, the three-time Patriot District Champions . . . was a first-team all-district honoree her senior year, and second-team as a sophomore and junior . . . also a first-team all-district in field hockey as a Spartan.
Personal: The daughter of Miguel and Graciela Gonzalez...has two brothers...Brother, Nick, played soccer at Shenandoah University.
