Senior (2016): Led the Hornets in most statistical categories but more importantly as a veteran leader...The senior was always smiling and encouraging her teammates in her final season...The outside hitter set a career-high in kills with 25 on three seperate occasions including the ODAC Quarterfinal against Emory & Henry on Nov. 2nd...Became the first Hornet to be honored on an AVCA All-American team after being named an Honorable Mention...Finished the season with 444 kills, 338 digs and 37 blocks...For her career, Garrett now sits third all-time in kills (1137), kills per set (2.89) and total attacks (3057).

Junior (2015): Was a huge part of the Hornets offense playing in all 26 matches and 94 sets…led the team with 310 kills, which is fourth best in the ODAC…also had 3.23 kills per set…posted more than 15 kills on seven different occasions, with a season high 19 coming twice against Shenandoah and Randolph on September 18 and October 18 respectively…added 258 digs, 12 service aces, and 36 blocks.

Sophomore (2014): Appeared in 30 matches while playing 100 sets for the Hornets… Took another step forward as a sophomore, finishing third on the team with 212 kills… Blocked 35 balls on the year while collecting 18 service aces and providing 80 digs… Set a new career-high with 15 kills against Washington and Lee University in the ODAC Championship on November 8… Added 11 digs in the ODAC Championship to post her first career double-double.

Freshman (2013): Played in all 27 matches and a team-high 94 sets as a freshman… One of the more explosive hitters on the Lynchburg roster, Garrett killed 181 balls and had the second-best hitting percentage (.218) on the team… Set her career-high with 13 kills against Bridgewater in the ODAC semifinals on November 9… Finished with 60 blocks, second-most on the team while contributed 71 digs.

Before LC: Started all four years for the Bulldogs of Liberty Christian Academy Was the VISAA State Player of the Year in 2012 and was a two-time conference player of the year... Received three First-Team All-Conference awards and two First-Team All-State awards during her high school career… Helped lead her team to the state championship all four years.

Why Is Being A Hornet Important To You?: Being a Hornet is important to me because I am close to my family and they are able to come to my volleyball games. LC has a small environment that allows for personal relationships with my classmates, professors, and teammates who help me to succeed both in the classroom and on the volleyball court.
