Bryce Demory joined the Lynchburg baseball staff prior to the 2026 season as an assistant coach.

Demory, a Lynchburg graduate. played three seasons for the Hornets and led the team in home runs in 2025. He helped lead the team to back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Super Regionals, including a World Series appearance in 2024. In addition, Demory made seven appearances as a relief pitcher in 2024, posting a 2.08 ERA with seven strikeouts.

In the 2026 season, the Hornets posted a 40-8-1 overall record and swept their opponents in the NCAA Regional. The team produced five All-Americans for the first time in program history, while Ben Jones was a first team selection. In addition, the Hornets secured 18 conference wins for the fourth time in six years.
