Dane Bower rejoined the Lynchburg family as an assistant athletic trainer in January 2018 and immediately began his dutes as the primary athletic trainer for men's soccer, men's basketball, men's and women's golf, and baseball while also assisting with clinic coverage.

Bower earned his degree in athletic training from Lynchburg in 2016 and completed his master's in athletic training from California University in Pennsylvania the following spring. While at California, he worked with the Vulcans' women's soccer program while also completing a rotation at Brownsville Area High School in Brownsville, Pa.

While completing his undergraduate work, Bower completed an internship with the Lynchburg Hillcats minor league baseball team and rotations at Lynchburg Family Medicine and Amherst County, Appomattox County, and Heritage high schools, along with many of Lynchburg's varsity programs.
