Holden Fielder joined the Lynchburg athletic department in September 2024 as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.
Fielder stays at his alma mater after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University in 2022 and earning his Master's in Business Administration in 2023. In his role, he works with all intercollegiate athletic programs for the university. He designs, coordinates, and managed all aspects of in-season and off-season training programs. Fielder also helps implement general nutrition coaching and education using the Critical Reload platform while working with the athletic training staff to provide injury prevention and rehab training. He continues to work with the campus grounds crew at Lynchburg and has since August 2023.
Before becoming a full-time addition to the athletic training department, Fielder completed an internship with the program where he developed and built the "Edge Package" for the university strength and conditioning department while managing the athletic department nutrition station. He completed a graduate assistantship with the advising and academic resources center during his tenure with Lynchburg. Fielder also was an athletics operations assistant for Lynchburg from June 2022 through August 2023.
While getting his degree at Lynchburg, he was a four-year catcher on the Hornets' baseball team and helped his squad win the NCAA DIII National Championship in 2023. He was awarded the NSCA strength and conditioning student of the year by Lynchburg faculty for the 2019-2020 academic year.
Prior to his time with the Lynchburg athletic department, he completed an internship with Freedom Fit Gym, where he coached clients and athletes from ages eight to 80 and assisted in assessing exercise readiness while helping with programming for all populations.
