Lauren Zimmerman joined the University of Lynchburg field hockey coaching staff in 2025, bringing a strong background in coaching and player development from the youth to collegiate levels.
Before arriving in the Hill City, Zimmerman served as a full-time assistant coach at Wesleyan University, a member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). There, she was deeply involved in all aspects of the program, including player development, game planning, video analysis, recruiting, and managing the team's social media presence. She originally joined Wesleyan as a part-time assistant in 2021 before moving to a full-time role in 2023.
Zimmerman also coached with HTC Field Hockey Club, working with players from elementary through high school. She has coached high-performance teams at national tournaments and has played a key role in guiding student-athletes through the college recruiting process.
As a student-athlete, Zimmerman was a four-year member of the Division I field hockey program at Bryant University, where she played in 53 career games. Off the field, she served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and earned recognition on the Northeast Conference Academic Honor Roll.
