ROANOKE, VA – Nicci Moats posted game highs of 20 points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots Tuesday night to lead the Roanoke College women's basketball team to a 71-49 victory over visiting Lynchburg College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action.

Lynchburg trailed just 31-24 at the half and the contest remained tight until the final nine minutes. RC led 50-42 with 9:13 on the game clock and finished the game with a 21-5 run for the final 22-point margin.

Junior Katie Crump (Burke, VA/Lake Braddock) led the Hornets with 16 points and eight rebounds. Roslyn Alexander (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendenowa) tallied 11 points and Caitlin Falls (Moneta, VA/Staunton River) finished with 10 points and seven rebounds. Courtney Brewer (Culpeper, VA/Highland) had seven points, five rebounds and three assists.

Rebecca Hayes totaled 15 points and nine rebounds for Roanoke (16-6/15-3).

The Hornets (7-17/7-12) host Washington & Lee University Friday evening at 7 p.m. Brewer will be recognized prior to the game on Senior Night.
