Bradman Nets Eight as Salisbury Men's Lax Defeats Lynchburg College 13-5
LYNCHBURG, VA- Sam Bradman scored eight times Saturday afternoon as Salisbury University men's lacrosse team posted a 13-5 victory over Lynchburg College in non-conference play.
The Hornets trailed 8-4 at halftime, yet were unable to come back as Salisbury posted five more goals in the second half to Lynchburg's one.
Ben Sauer (Richmond, VA/ Collegiate) found the back of the net twice for the Hornets in the first half. Derek Sweet (Duxbury, MA/Duxbury) had one goal and an assist. Eddie Bilinkas (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) and Dylan Hoff (Chester Springs, PA/Downingtown East) each had a goal apiece. Roland St. Clair-Barrie (Scituate, MA/Tabor Academy) made 10 saves in 54 minutes in the net.
Salisbury controlled the ball much of the game aided by Tyler Granelli winning 10 of his 15 face offs. Tony Mendes posted two goals and one assist for the Sea Gulls (2-0).
The Hornets (0-1) host Ohio Wesleyan for another non-conference game on Saturday at 1 p.m.
