Senior forward Chaney Forbush netted a team-high 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting to go with seven rebounds. Junior Sarah Coronel contributed 14 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots and Charmaine Hairston had 13 points and three steals. Olivia DeFrancesco scored 12 and Sammi Goldsmith had nine assists, six points and six rebounds. Caroline Naumann had seven points, eight rebounds and four steals.

The Hornets led nearly the entire game, but the Maroons tied the contest at 48 all only three seconds into the fourth period. The Hornets slowly re-opened a small lead and Coronel put the game away with a traditional three-point play with under 30 seconds left to push the advantage to 70-63.
