Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- Sophomore Chance Greene (Creedmoor, N.C.) nailed four consecutive 3-pointers in the second half racking up 12 of his 27 points for the Lynchburg College men's basketball team in an 85-52 home-opening victory over Ferrum on Tuesday. Greene set a new career-high for the third-straight game.
Connor Schroeder (Blacksburg, Va.) and Austin Wrighten (Woodbridge, Va.) each had 11 rebounds and collected a total of 18 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lynchburg started behind Ferrum in the first three minutes until a layup by junior Jesse Case (Leesburg,Va.) gave the Hornets the lead. Case served up seven points, four assists, and three rebounds. The Hornets ended the first half 44-28 over the Panthers.
- Greene dominated the second half, making four 3-pointers in a less-than-two-minute span, pushing the Hornets up 60-41. All four were assisted by junior guard Devante' Young (Charlotte, N.C.). Young led the Hornets with six assists and collected one steal.
- The Hornets out-rebounded Ferrum 51-40 and managed to snag seven steals.
LOOKING AHEAD
Lynchburg will stay home this week to play again Saturday, Nov. 25 at 2 p.m. against Methodist.
