From the Face-Off
The Hornets took to the road to take on Randolph-Macon in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) contest. Both teams entered the game 3-1 in ODAC play.
Game Breakdown
- Junior midfielder Colin McGuire got the scoring going for the Hornets with an unassisted goal sweeping to the middle of the field
- Sophomore attackman Evan Lombardo got the next goal on an assist from McGuire while up a man
- Coleman Adams scored for the Yellow Jackets to make the score 2-1 with 8:15 left in the first quarter

Joey Giannaras scored unassisted after sweeping to the middle, rolling back and firing a right handed shot to the low corner to make the score 5-1 heading into the second quarter
- Lynchburg would start the second quarter off with a four goal run with senior midfielders Dan Owens, and
Chris Camarca, Adams, and sophomore defenseman
Matt Meadows all finding the back of the net in the first five minutes of the quarter making the score 9-1 with 10:06 remaining
- Kyle Keepers tallied for the Yellow Jackets to make the score 9-2
- Freshman midfielder Michael Githens showed some creativity scoring his first goal of the game driving from behind left handed and firing a shot behind the back that found the back of the net

Shayne O'Brien scored his first goal of the game on an assist from Adams while man-up taking the score to 12-2 at the end of the first half
- Sophomore Attackman
Andrew Thomas scored twice to open the second half, both coming off of assists from Adams
- Lombardo scored next for the Hornets on another Adams assist
- Thomas and Giannaras would both tally again for the Hornets bringing the score to 17-2 at the end of the third quarter
- The Yellow Jackets would open up the fourth quarter with goals from Alex Camilliere and Kyle Keepers
- Lynchburg would answer with two straight goals from freshman attackman
Colin Dean coming off assists from O'Brien, and junior midfielder
Eric Corella to push the Hornets lead to 19-4
- Randolph-Macon would score three straight goals to end the game with Miles Muncie finding the back of the net twice and Lee Pratt scoring once to bring the game to its final score of 19-7
