Box Score Greensboro, N.C. – Lynchburg College's men's basketball team fell short on the road at Guilford College, 80-70, Wednesday night in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference matchup.
Senior forward Logan Seacrist (Fredericksburg, Va.) led the Hornets on the board with 19 points, three assists, and three rebounds. Freshman guard Reggie Davis (Greensboro, N.C.) went 4-for-6 on 3-pointers, collecting a total of 15 points. Junior guard Devante' Young (Charlotte, N.C.) contributed with six rebounds, six assists, and two steals.
Guilford's Marcus Curry totaled a game-high 22 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the Quakers.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Guilford started the game on a 16-0 run until Davis broke up the shutout with a 3-pointer with 13:22 left before halftime. The Quakers led 42-28 at halftime.

The Hornets climbed back within 10 points by means of a 14-2 run early in the second half, and LC cut the Guilford lead to one point with 8:30 remaining after Connor Schroeder (Blacksburg, Va.) sank a 3-pointer.

Seacrist hit three consecutive shots from behind the arc in the last few minutes of play, but it still wasn't enough to bring the Hornets a win.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Hornets will be back in Lynchburg to face Virginia Wesleyan at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27.
