Box Score Fredericksburg, Va. -- Behind a poor shooting performance, University of Lynchburg's women's basketball team fell, 64-49, Tuesday night at Mary Washington.
Senior forward Molly Shephard (Charlottesville, Va.) was the Hornets' lone double-digit scorer, dumping in 11 points to go with 12 rebounds. Freshman guard Lizzie Davis (Knoxville, Tenn.) added eight points off the bench.
Lynchburg shot just 15-for-55 from the field (27.3 percent) and turned the ball over 22 times.
Maddie Shifflett scored a game-high 15 points for the Eagles.

Mary Washington shot an even 50 percent (14-for-28) in the second half to preserve the lead.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Hornets will break for Thanksgiving before resuming play Tuesday, Nov. 27 in the team's Old Dominion Athletic Conference opener, 7 p.m. at Washington and Lee.
