Decatur, Ga. -- University of Lynchburg's women's basketball team fell Friday, 52-39, at Emory University in the opening game of the Emory Holiday Inn Tip-Off Tournament at Agnes Scott College's Woodruff Gym.

Freshman Lexi Hall scored a team-high 10 points off the bench for the Hornets (1-2), while Lizzie Davis added nine points and Erin Green added eight points and five blocks.

The Eagles (2-0) got 11 points out of Erin Lindahl.

Lynchburg struggled from the field Friday, shooting just 17-for-58 from the floor.

The Hornets will look to rebound Saturday against Colorado College in their tournament finale.
