Box Score Decatur, Ga. -- Erin Green posted a double-double, two more Hornets scored in double figures, and University of Lynchburg's women's basketball team got back on the winning track Saturday with a 76-64 win over Colorado College in the finale of the Emory Holiday Inn Tip-Off Classic at Agnes Scott College.
Green dumped in a career-high 24 points to go with 12 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks to highlight the stat sheet.
The Hornets (2-2) also got 11 points and six assists from Alissa Smalls and 10 points and seven boards from Abby Oguich.
Lynchburg jumped out to a 16-11 lead after the first period and held the lead into halftime as Green tallied 12 points and seven rebounds in the first half alone.
Colorado cut the lead to 56-55 early in the fourth, but 3-pointers by Green and Smalls and a layup from Lizzie Davis accounted for an 8-0 run that opened the Hornets' advantage back up.
McKenzee Gertz led the Tigers (0-2) with 22 points and eight rebounds.
Lynchburg will return to Virginia Wednesday, Nov. 20 to tip off Old Dominion Athletic Conference play at Hollins at 7 p.m.
