Box Score Bridgewater, Va. -- University of Lynchburg's men's basketball team pulled away in the second half to open Old Dominion Athletic Conference play with an 81-68 victory at Bridgewater Sunday afternoon.
T.C. Thacker led the Hornets (5-3, 1-0 ODAC) with 15 points and 16 rebounds for his third double-double of the season, and Chance Greene and Tharon Suggs added 16 points each. Greene chipped in a career-high eight assists in the win.
Bridgewater (2-4, 0-1) opened a 15-9 lead in the game's first 5 minutes, but Lynchburg rallied with an 8-0 run and led by four at halftime.
Reggie Davis was key in the Hornets' second-half charge, scoring all 14 of his points after the break. His layup with 3:34 remaining extended Lynchburg's lead to 20, and the visitors cruised to victory.
The Hornets were dominant on the glass, taking advantage of 24 offensive boards for a 17-5 edge in second-chance points.
Lynchburg's men's basketball team will return to ODAC action on the road Wednesday, Dec. 4 with a 7 p.m. tip at Ferrum.
