Box Score

Lynchburg, Va. -- Three University of Lynchburg women's basketball players scored in double figures, but it wasn't enough as the Hornets fell, 69-60, to Washington and Lee Wednesday in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play.

After a back-and-forth first period, Lynchburg (7-8, 4-4 ODAC) moved out in front on consecutive 3-pointers by Maggie Quarles and led by as many as seven in the first half.

The Generals (10-6, 7-2) used a 14-2 run early in the third period to take the lead, but the Hornets battled back to retake the lead later in the period.

A three-point play by Andy Smithey put W&L ahead for good with 5:07 left in the game, kicking off a 14-5 Generals run to end the game.

Kate Kolb scored a game-best 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Hornets. Abby Oguich chipped in 11 points, eight rebounds, and four assists, and Quarles added 11 points and four boards.

Megan Horn, Taylor Casey, and Erin Hughes each scored 12 points for the Generals.
