Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- Junior Tharon Suggs led Lynchburg scorers with nine points on the night, but it was not enough to overcome the Maroon offense as the University of Lynchburg men's basketball team fell to Roanoke College, 81-44, Wednesday evening on Senior Night.
The Hornets (14-11, 9-7 ODAC) were led offensively by Suggs' nine points and senior Cody Lang picked up 10 boards and five points. Fellow senior Chance Greene scored seven points and, with the only 3-pointer he made on the night, moved into a tie for second in career 3-point field goals.
Lynchburg fell behind early as the Maroons (15-9, 9-6) took a 13-2 lead in the first six minutes of action. The Roanoke lead swelled to 31-11 at the 8:19 mark after a layup from Efosa Edosomwan and the half, the Hornets faced a 43-23 deficit.
The Hornets never led in the contest and at the 4:25 mark were down by 42, their largest deficit of the night.
Lynchburg men's basketball will learn the seedings for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament following the conclusion of conference play this weekend.
