Box Score Greensboro, N.C. -- Colin Dean and Trammel Robinson scored five goals each to lead the No. 3-ranked University of Lynchburg men's lacrosse team to a 24-6 shellacking of Guilford Saturday in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play.
The Quakers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, but Lynchburg followed with seven unanswered goals to take control of the contest early in the second quarter. The Hornets scored six more without retaliation to lead 13-3 at halftime and cruise to a league victory.
Robinson scored Lynchburg's first goal of the afternoon, making use of a Riley Mitchell assist, and secured the hat trick before the first quarter's end. He scored his fifth goal with 19 seconds remaining in the second quarter.
Dean also scored early and often, notching four goals before halftime and adding his own fifth on a man-up opportunity with 7:54 left in the third.
Logan Lamon and Ryan Kenney each added two goals for Lynchburg, while Brett Rogers tacked on three assists.
Lynchburg will hit the road again Saturday, March 20 for the first of two contests with No. 11 Christopher Newport.
