Lynchburg, Va. -- Colin Dean and Ryan Kenney each registered hat tricks to lead the fifth-ranked University of Lynchburg men's lacrosse team to a 24-2 victory over Ferrum Wednesday night in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play.

The Hornets scored the game's first 11 goals, leaping out to a 10-0 lead after a quarter and scoring the first goal of the second before the Panthers got on the board.

Grant Voigt's goal with 3:14 left in the second sent Lynchburg into halftime with a 17-2 advantage, and the Hornets added seven more in the final two periods with the game out of reach.

Sixteen different Lynchburg players scored in the game. Voigt, Jake Rust, Riley Flores, and Trammel Robinson each chipped in a pair of goals, while Kyle Lewis scored a goal to go with four assists, and Dylan Wolfe hauled in a goal and three assists. Tyler Hadley made a career-high 11 saves in goal, playing the final three quarters.

The Hornets (8-2, 3-1 ODAC) will now set their sights on rival Roanoke College, which pays a visit to Shellenberger Field Saturday night at 7.
