Box Score Misenheimer, N.C. -- Elijah Davis' 17 points led four University of Lynchburg men's basketball players in double figures as the Hornets earned an 85-76 road win at Pfeiffer Saturday afternoon.
Trey Pittman and Landon Sutton chipped in 14 points apiece, and Kavon James scored 12 off the bench for Lynchburg.
The Hornets started the game on an 11-4 run and never looked back, leading by 10 at the half. Davis scored 15 of his career-best 17 before the halftime break, going 3-for-4 from 3-point territory to help build the lead.
The Falcons rallied early in the second half to cut Lynchburg's lead to 54-52, but Lynchburg countered with a 12-0 run sparked by Alex Fitch's dunk to put the game away.
Miles Taylor added eight points and a team-high eight rebounds to the Hornets' cause, while James also contributed four steals and two assists.
Lynchburg (3-6) will head south to North Carolina again this week for the Bilas Classic at Queens University, where they will play TCNJ Tuesday at 8 p.m. and Elmhurst Wednesday evening at 6.
