Equestrian's Banks qualifies for IHSA nationals

Laurinburg, N.C. -- Dakota Banks is nationals bound!

University of Lynchburg's standout freshman won first in the Limit Fences division at the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association Zone 4 Championships at the St. Andrews University Equestrian Center, earning a spot at the IHSA national championships next month in Harrisburg, Pa.

He will make the Hornets' first IHSA national championship appearance since 2018, when Christina Antonucci finished 10th in the Open Fences division and was honorable mention in Open Flat.

Banks, a native of Dallas, Pa., will compete in the first session of the championships in his home state, scheduled for the morning of Thursday, May 5 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center.
