Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- University of Lynchburg's men's basketball team dropped an 83-63 decision to defending national champion and No. 2-ranked Randolph-Macon Saturday at home in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference contest.
Miles Taylor's 19 points led the Hornets' way, while Piercen Young totaled 11 points and seven rebounds. Jordan Parham scored 13 points off the bench, going 3-for-4 from 3-point territory.
Lynchburg played great defense early in the game, holding the Yellow Jackets to under 40 percent shooting from the field and just 1-for-8 from 3-point range. Randolph-Macon then shot nearly 60 percent from the field in the second half and went 21-for-25 from the free throw line in the second half to extend its three-point lead to 20 over the course of the second half.
The Hornets (4-12, 1-6 ODAC) will hit the road to get back in action Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Averett.
