Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- University of Lynchburg's women's basketball team fell in a non-conference game Saturday, dropping an 85-53 decision to visiting Mary Washington.
Olivia Harris led the Hornets in scoring with 14 points, including a 4-of-7 effort from 3-point range, while Kacey Kelly had nine points off the bench for Lynchburg. Macey Mullins chipped in six points and four assists.
UMW started the game on an 8-1 run and never looked back, leading by 22 at the half. Jordan Carpenter led the Eagles with 16 points.
Lynchburg (6-13) will return to Old Dominion Athletic Conference play this week with a Wednesday trip across town to Randolph College. The WildCats won the teams' first meeting this season, 56-49, in Turner Gymnasium November 30.
