Box Score Cary, N.C. -- The University of Lynchburg men's basketball team lost to William Peace 82-67 Sunday afternoon.
Miles Taylor led the Lynchburg contingent with 13 points and has scored in double-figures in six-straight games. Deondre Ross joined the senior in double-digits with 10.
Jonathan Foust gave Lynchburg the first lead of the game with a layup on Lynchburg's second possession. After the Pacers took the lead on their next trip down the court with a 3-pointer, the Hornets never led again.
Miles Taylor reached 10 points in the first half, and Foust was right on his heels with eight. The Pacer led by six at the break.
Taylor and Foust combined for three points in the second half as the Pacers extended their lead for the victory.
Ross poured in eight points in the second half, and Piercen Young made Lynchburg's only triple of the final 20 minutes. Lynchburg shot 4-12 (33.3%) from deep in the game.
The Pacers made 10 3-pointers in the matchup to separate themselves from the Hornets.
The Hornets (5-4, 3-1 ODAC) take on Division-I Davidson in North Carolina on Saturday, Dec. 16. That contest will not count towards Lynchburg's record or season statistics. The next countable matchup will come on Tuesday, Dec. 19 in the Wayne Proffitt Classic against Centre.
