Radnor, Pa. -- University of Lynchburg men's lacrosse senior Dylan Wolfe scored five goals with two assists as the ninth-ranked Hornets beat No. 12 Cabrini 11-7 Saturday afternoon. 

Wolfe totaled seven points on the day marking his most since Apr. 16, 2022 against Roanoke when he scored six times with two assists. 

Junior Jake Rust also scored a hat trick. The Windham, N.H. native has seven goals in his last two games.

Wolfe and Rust scored Lynchburg's first two goals of the day. Wolfe completed his first hat trick on back-to-back goals midway through the second putting the Hornets up 7-0. Freshman Riley Hastings scored Lynchburg's eighth goal just before halftime as the Hornets dominated the first and held their nationally-ranked opponents scoreless. 

Senior goalie Tyler Hadley preserved the first-half shutout with nine saves. He ended the day with a career-best 20 saves. He also earned four ground balls and caused a turnover. 

Cabrini outscored Lynchburg 7-3 in the second half, but two more goals from Wolfe and another from Rust helped Lynchburg keep pace and stay undefeated on the season. 

Michael Kraus won seven faceoffs, and the Hornets were nearly perfect on clears (26-27). 

No. 9 Lynchburg (3-0, 1-0 ODAC) returns home on Saturday, March 4 for a matchup with top-ranked Salisbury at 1 p.m.
