Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- University of Lynchburg men's lacrosse senior Ethan Cotter scored a career-best five goals against Randolph Friday night.

Cotter's career day highlighted the 18-1 victory over the WildCats from across town.
Robert Kirkland kicked off an eight-goal first quarter followed by two from Kayden Hinchey. Riley Frankel netted an assist in the first and won all eight faceoffs he took. Zach Phillips took over at the X for the first time in his lacrosse career and won the final faceoff of the quarter.
Logan Lamon scored a highlight-reel type goal in the third grabbing a ground ball out of the air and flipping the ball over his shoulder for the score.
Phillips won 6-11 draws overall and played goalie during the fourth quarter. He made four saves and caused a turnover with four ground balls.
Defender Jeremy Johnson scored his second-career goal in the win, and Charlie Evans netted a hat trick with all three goals coming in the fourth quarter. Evans had four hat tricks during his freshman campaign.
The 11th-ranked Hornets take on top-ranked Christopher Newport on Saturday, April 1 at 7 p.m.
