Lynchburg, Va. -- In a continued effort to support the well-being of its student-athletes, the University of Lynchburg athletic department is proud to announce the launch of a new Student-Athlete Wellness tab on the official Lynchburg sports website. This new resource hub is live as of November 1, 2024 and will be perennially located under the "Inside Athletics" tab on lynchburgsports.com. It is designed to provide Lynchburg student-athletes with easy access to tools and information that promote mental health and holistic wellness.
The Student-Athlete Wellness tab features a range of curated resources aimed at helping student-athletes manage the unique pressures they face both on and off the field. These resources include:

Articles covering topics such as performance anxiety, balancing academics and athletics, and mental health in sports

"The launch of this tab is a crucial step in creating a culture where student-athletes feel empowered to prioritize their mental well-being," said Logan Curtis (Sport Psychology Intern and softball student-athlete), "We want our athletes to not only excel in their sport, but to feel supported in every aspect of their lives. This wellness hub will give them the tools to thrive mentally, emotionally, and physically."Â
The new tab is easily accessible through the Lynchburg sports website's main menu, making it simple for student-athletes to find the information they need. Whether looking for a quick mental health tip or wanting to stay updated on wellness events, this resource is designed to provide support at the click of a button.
