Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg women's basketball team is set to travel to Arlington, Va. for its first away matchup of the season against Marymount on Tuesday, November 12 at 6 p.m.
The Hornets (0-1) started off their 2024-25 campaign with a bout against Southern Virginia, which resulted in a 76-44 victory for the Knights. Junior guard
Macey Mullins led Lynchburg offensively with 10 points while adding three rebounds and one assist. Junior guard
Brooke Cason grabbed a team-high five rebounds and swiped two steals.Â
Since 2011, the Hornets have squared up against Marymount five times. All five occasions have gone the Saints' way, most recently with a 76-44 final on Nov. 8, 2023. Marymount opened up the season with two contests in two days against Elizabethtown and Widener, both concluded with losses.Â
Lynchburg has two more road competitions on the slate before returning to Turner Gym. Following Tuesday's outing, the Hornets will travel to Raleigh, N.C. to take on William Peace on Saturday, November 16 at 2 p.m.
