Lynchburg, Va. -- The Hornets (0-2) are headed to Raleigh, N.C. for a date against William Peace (0-2) this Saturday, Nov. 16 at 2 pm.
Both teams are searching for their first win of the season entering this matchup. History is on the Hornets' side in this regard, as they have won the past eight contests dating back to 2012. In their most recent meeting, Lynchburg claimed an 84-71 victory.
After the last game's 20-point eruption from Olivia Harris, she leads the team in scoring with an average of 11 points. Nonetheless, Macey Mullins has been the most consistent source of offense for Lynchburg through their first two games, scoring 10 and 8 in the first two games.
Freshman Forward, Jessica Worthy, and Sophomore Guard, Alayna Randolph, have been the main options for the Pacers thus far. Through their opening two games, both players are averaging 12 points a game. Worthy has also been instrumental to the backcourt's defense, tallying five steals.
Lynchburg will most likely use its size to its advantage in this affair. The Hornets enter the game with a +6 rebound margin over the Pacers.
Following this game Lynchburg will stay on the road as they head to Chambersburg, Pa. to face Wilson on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
