Men's Basketball Welcomes Washington & Lee

Lynchburg, Va. -- The Hornets (10-7) will host the Washington & Lee Generals (4-12) this Saturday, Jan. 25, at 4:30 p.m.

The Generals have had a slight edge in the series between the two schools in recent history, winning six of the last 10 meetings. Washington & Lee also has a three-game win streak over the Hornets. 

Washington & Lee picked up a win in their most recent game on the road against Eastern Mennonite, 75-70. The Generals sit second to last in the conference in scoring with 64.8 PPG with a .378 percentage from the floor. Nonetheless, leading scorer Connor Amorosi is seventh in the ODAC with 14.7 PPG. 

Washington & Lee also allows the scone the most points per game with 75.8, giving them the lowest point differential (-11) in the conference. 

Lynchburg enters this contest after a dominant 30-point win in their last game against Averett. After starting the season 5-0 on their home floor, the Hornets have lost their last two games in Turner. Freshman forward Jamarcus Brown leads Lynchburg in scoring with 11.9 PPG. Jake Hart has also moved to third in the ODAC for assists with 4.1 APG. 

Following this affair, Lynchburg will face a challenging two-game road stint that includes RV Guilford and #13 Randolph-Macon. The next home game for the Hornets will be on Feb. 5 in a Code Red matchup against Randolph.
