Lynchburg, Va. -- The Hornets (7-5) head to Harrisonburg to face off against the EMU Royals (3-8) in search of their first win of 2025. 

In the last 10 meetings between the two schools, Lynchburg has controlled the series 8-2. Last year, the Hornets won 100-74 in Turner Gymnasium. Nonetheless, the Royals have won the last two games in Yoder Arena. 

EMU enters this contest on a six-game losing skid. The Royals dropped their most recent game in a 53-51 OT final on the road against Shenandoah. EMU has gone 1-3 on their home floor this year, their win coming against Messiah University (1-10), 86-76 OT. Offensively, the Royals rank 11th in the ODAC for PPG with 65.4. Sophomore guard Aaron Brooks leads the team with 14.5 PPG. Both brooks and senior forward Aviwe Mahlong have scored in double figures nine times this year. On the other end of th floor, EMU has allowed the worst opponent three-point percentage this season (36.6%) and rebound margin (-4.7). 

The Hornets are still searching for their first true road win of the season. Lynchburg comes into this affair after dropping their last two games by a combined 31 points. Scott and company lead the ODAC with 15.5 turnovers per game but have combated that with the third most caused turnovers (14.5). Lynchburg has dominated on the glass thus far, averaging an ODAC second best 40.2 RPG.
