Lynchburg, Va. -- The Lynchburg Hornets seized another victory on their home floor, taking down the Guilford Quakers in a three-set sweep.

The Hornets (17-2) have now won all six of their home matches this season. Inside Turner Gymnasium, Lynchburg has claimed 18 of the 23 total sets played. Additionally, the Hornets have recorded eight sweeps across all matches this year.

Lynchburg played one of its best offensive matches of the season, finishing with 43 kills and just eight errors for an attacking percentage of .385 -- the highest mark recorded by the Hornets this year. Kate Hardie and Leah DiNardo led the way offensively, combining for 20 kills with 11 and nine, respectively.

On the defensive end, DiNardo was a keystone piece in the interior protection. The Hornets tied for their third-highest total block mark of the season, finishing with eight, led by DiNardo with 2.5.

In the opening frame, Lynchburg claimed the first point and never trailed, cruising to a 25-19 win.

In the second set, Guilford briefly swung the momentum and took an early lead. Nevertheless, Lynchburg battled back -- trailing 16-15, the Hornets rattled off a 10-2 run highlighted by four service aces from Kailey Keough to secure a 25-18 victory and a two-set lead.

The final set began with a commanding 8-1 Lynchburg run and ended in emphatic fashion, as the Hornets closed the match on a 12-0 stretch to seal the 25-10 win and complete the sweep.

The Hornets return to action on their home floor against Averett (3-13) next Wednesday, Oct. 15.
