LYNCHBURG, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's volleyball team has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2026 campaign.
The Hornets look to continue building momentum under first-year interim head coach Thomas Chandler as the program enters its second year of NCAA competition. Following last year's 9-15 finish in it's inaugural season, Lynchburg returns a strong core ready to take the next step in the Old Dominion Athletic Confrence.
Lynchburg opens the season with two road matches in Washington, D.C., against Gallaudet and PSU-Altoona on Jan. 25. The Hornets close out the month of January with a weekend trip to Bluefield, Va., facing Bluefield (Va.) and Rio Grande (Ohio) on Jan. 31.
February begins with a five-match road slate, traveling to Marymount on Feb. 6 before heading to Shenandoah on Feb. 7. Lynchburg then visits Eastern Mennonite on Feb. 17 for an ODACÂ showdown in Harrisonburg, Va.
The Hornets return to Harrisonburg on Feb. 21 for a tri-match against Bridgewater and Juniata. Later that week, Lynchburg returns home for its Turner Gymnasium debut, hosting Randolph on Feb. 25.
A trip to Virginia Beach follows on Feb. 28 for matchups with Virginia Wesleyan and Concordia Chicago to close out the month.
March marks an important stretch of conference play for the Hornets, starting at home against Roanoke on March 4. Lynchburg hosts Shenandoah on March 6, followed by three more home battles in just four days — Averett and Regent on March 7, and Randolph-Macon on March 11.
EMU visits Turner Gymnasium on March 14, before Lynchburg welcomes Bridgewater on March 18. The Hornets then stay in the area for a pair of road games, taking on Randolph and Regent in a Lynchburg doubleheader across town on March 21.
The final five regular-season contests feature a mix of home and road matchups, beginning with Virginia Wesleyan at home on March 25 for a Code Red contest. Lynchburg hits the road to face Roanoke and Warren Wilson on March 28 in Roanoke, Va., and travels to Averett on April 1 in Danville, Va.
Lynchburg closes out the regular season on April 4 with an ODAC showdown against Randolph-Macon inside Turner Gymnasium.
