ROANOKE, Va. -- The Lynchburg Hornets concluded their 2025 regular season slate with a 3-1 victory over Hollins on Tuesday night, moving to the next chapter of a historic season. 

With the victory, Lynchburg (25-3, 10-1 ODAC) sets a program record for the best regular season record for the Hornets both in conference play and overall. The Hornets also are one game away from tying the most wins in program history. As a team, the group is on pace to record nine or more top-10 finishes in program history for season long team statistics. 

The Hornets took the first, second, and fourth sets (25-14, 25-21, 25-15) before dropping the third 26-28, finishing the match with a 58-31 kill advantage.

Lynchburg dominated offensively, posting 82 total points compared to Hollins' 47, including 58 kills, 16 aces, and eight blocks. The Hornets also outpaced Hollins in assists (54-29) and digs (66-51).

Tori Williamson led the Hornets with 15 kills, followed closely by Kate Hardie with 14 and Kailey Keough with 10. Alexis Scipione led the team in assists with 33 while also contributing five aces. Defensive efforts were highlighted by Cassidy Blackmore, who recorded 20 digs, with Keough and Williamson adding 13 and 11, respectively. Leah DiNardo added 3.5 blocks alongside Ava Meinhardt, who tallied 2.5.

The Hornets now turn their attention to postseason play with the ODAC quarterfinal against Randolph-Macon on deck for Tuesday, Nov. 11, in Turner Gymnasium.
