Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's lacrosse team notched a 25-1 victory against Hill City rival Randolph to close out the regular season home campaign on Tuesday night at Shellenberger Field.
The No. 15/12 Hornets (11-5, 8-1) won their fourth consecutive contest against the WildCats with yet another dominant triumph. Though Lynchburg has one more contest on the road before postseason play, the men's lacrosse team finished with a 6-2 record on the home turf throughout the regular season.
In tonight's affair, the Hornets hit the 25 goal mark for the third time this season and second occasion in the last four outings. Lynchburg averages an astounding 17.56 goals per outing While the offense exploded, the defense was just as sound allowing single-digit scores for the ninth time.Â

Matthew Patrone dished out three assists. 10 additional Hornet performers tallied two points in tonight's affair.
After Lynchburg scored the first eight goals of the competition in the first quarter, Randolph struck back to start the second period. The Hornets closed out the first half with seven goals to go into the halftime break ahead, 15-1. Lynchburg added six goals in the third quarter and four more in the final 15-minute stretch.
The men's lacrosse squad will conclude the regular season at Randolph-Macon on Friday, April 25 at 3 p.m.
